Maria PL (Pleshkova) is a cultural figure working across image, cinema, writing, and spoken word. She studied law, photography, and short film production. Alongside formal education, self-directed learning has remained central to her practice. Her work has been shaped by visual art, cinema, literature, and philosophy. Moving between different mediums, she creates a symbolic universe in which the personal becomes archetypal and the invisible becomes tangible. Her practice explores transformation, desire, depth, and transgression — and how they shape identity, perception, and the space around us. Maria’s work has been shown internationally, including exhibitions and festivals across Russia, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Georgia, the United States, South Korea, and Brazil.
