I photograph what moves me — instinctively, visually: bodies, faces, fragments of skin. I care about appearance — its strength, its light, its fragility. But what I seek is not an image of beauty. It’s what lies beyond — or just before: a silence, a tension, a breath not yet released. My work unfolds between two fields: fashion and beauty photography, which I’ve practiced for years, and a more sculptural, introspective approach, where the body becomes matter, symbol, abstraction. I often shoot in studio settings — stripped-down spaces where the essential can surface. I pare down the frame to create calm, frontal, minimal compositions. Psychoanalysis and philosophy shape my gaze; they inform my relationship to the body, to absence, to what escapes. To photograph, for me, is to hold on to the imperceptible — a presence, a line, a suspended emotion. I do not aim to seduce or provoke. I don’t photograph “everyone.” My gaze is selective, subjective, deliberate. It arises from resonance, from a personal disturbance. I frame to contemplate. Always human.
